What is Yoga?
The exact history of Yoga is unknown, but it is thought to date back at least 5,000 years with some researchers believing it to date back 10,000 years or more. Yoga refers to the traditional physical and mental disciplines, and the sum total of all activities: mental, physical and spiritual.

What should I wear for a yoga class?Studio
Clothing for a yoga class should be non-restrictive. Something that you can move in, such as light sweat pants and T-shirt would be fine.

What do I need to bring?
If you are a new student, we will supply all the props that are needed, yoga mat, bolsters, blocks, etc., however, it is strongly encouraged that if you have your own yoga mat, to bring it with you.

I’m not very physical or flexible, can I still do yoga?
Yes, in fact, yoga is known to help those who have limited mobility to become more flexible through the stretching and strengthening of your muscles.

How early should I be there?
There is usually time necessary to sign in and set up, so you should
arrive at least 10 minutes before the class is scheduled to begin.

Is Yoga a religion?
On the contrary. The practice of yoga is said to be a way of life, and can aid anyone seeking improvement physically, mentally and spiritually regardless of Religious Beliefs.

Do I have to be a vegetarian to practice yoga?
No, it is a personal decision as to whether one eats meat products or not, and being a vegetarian or vegan is not something that will not be imposed upon you.

How often should I practice yoga?
As with any physical movement, the more often, the better results you will see. Even if it’s only once a week, you should notice a more positive physical and mental well-being, therefore you may find yourself increasing your yoga practice as time goes by.
